Responsible for ensuring that all projects, expansions, retrofits, or property modifications are properly installed, scheduled, budgeted and meet all applicable California and/or Federal codes.
Also responsible for interaction with casino departments, city, county, state and federal agencies in order to maintain a good working relationship.
Project Manager works under the direction of the Vice President of Property Operations.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
All team members are obligated to support and uphold the Valley View Casino's Standards of Excellence as outlined in the Team Member Guide to Success.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
Assist in the efficient planning and coordination of any property modifications, expansion, new installations or retrofit modifications ensuring compliance to all local, state and federal codes.
Assist with developing a property-wide contingency plan/program for all property utilities and all property buildings, including training of all Facilities/Building and Grounds department personnel to protect the assets of the company.
Advise management of repairs, replacements, and maintenance necessary in assigned areas.
Work within budgetary constraints to be cost effective, resourceful and efficient.
Interact with guests and other departments, placing emphasis on people and presentation skills and developing win-win scenarios.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of all projects, updating property drawings both hard/working copies and CAD files, RFI logs, field instructions and transmittals and the Facilities department library archive.
Ensure adherence to all applicable Federal safety requirements (Federal, Tribal etc.
).
Work closely with department head to ensure safety for the company's Team Members and guests.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Supervises any Team Member(s) under span of control.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching and/or correcting Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems toward a non-biased outcome.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or a Project Management Credential from a nationally recognized project management organization or a related field.
A minimum of three years of experience in project management on Construction, Facilities or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted for the education requirement.
Previous experience working with CAD or related software.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and blueprints, submittals, field instructions, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals written in the English language.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Must successfully pass a drug screening test.
Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing.
Will be required to carry a company provided cell-phone at all times to receive and respond to work related calls including ability to prepare request for proposal, time lines and projects Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with a tribal enterprise.
