The Patient Services Representative works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by providing excellent patient-centered customer service within a dynamic team environment.
To achieve this, the Patient Services Representative facilitates a positive patient experience, working in conjunction with clinic staff, by supporting patients' administrative needs and demonstrating the company values:

Roles &
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate premier customer service while assisting patients in a fast-paced environment:
assess and appropriately respond to patient needs in an efficient and courteous manner.
Review insurance eligibility and educate patients on available programs offered through Neighborhood Healthcare.
Accurately schedule and confirm patient appointments according to established guidelines and reschedule as necessary.
Receive payments for services and records them in computer or ledger.
Verify patient's record is up to date and accurate.
Make appropriate changes in computer system.
Deescalate difficult situations and identify solutions for the patient as necessary.
Monitor Provider schedules for openings to ensure maximum utilization of all available appointments.
Update patient chart in electronic health records upon arrival for appointment.
Respond promptly and with caring actions to patients and employees.
Acknowledge psychosocial, spiritual and cultural beliefs and honor these beliefs.
Maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public.
Be part of a team and cooperate in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
Requirements Skills:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Excellent verbal communication skills required.
Computer skills including familiarity with spreadsheets and databases, required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to interact effectively with clinic personnel, patients and diverse population.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Education:
High School diploma/ GED required.
Experience:
Minimum one one-year customer service experience is required.
Experience in healthcare setting is preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
Pay Range:
$22.
00 to $27.
50 per hour, Depends on Experience (DOE) Neighborhood Healthcare requires employees to be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against COVID-19 and demonstrate proof of vaccination/booster upon hire or receive approval for an exemption based on a medical reason, disability or religious belief.
Proof of booster dose will be contingent upon booster eligibility.
Education Preferred High School or better.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
