Supv Beverage Shift

Job Summary:
Responsible for the overalloperation of the Casino Bars (Beverage) Department (including snack bars andspecial events) on an assigned shift while creating a great time for our guestsand ensuring excellent service is delivered by the Beverage staff.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three yearsBeverage supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge of wines andmixology required.
Excellent interpersonal,customer service, leadership, communication, team-building and problem-solvingskills are required.
Equivalent of two (2)years college within a related field.
Supervisory andorganizational skills required.
Knowledge of all phasesof Beverage Administration, cost control, and familiarity with all phases ofBeverage service.
Must possess goodcustomer service, employee relations and leadership skills.
Must have goodanalytical abilities.
Must be able to getalong with co-workers and work as a team.
Must present awell-groomed appearance.
Essential Job Functions:
Monitors and maintainsbeverage cost control methods and procedures.
Makes proceduralrecommendations and ensures enforcement of existing policy.
Ensures that the BeverageDepartment maintains hours and costs relating to staffing as required bybusiness levels.
? Monitors appearance of allfacilities and service areas and follows-up to ensure cleanliness standards areat the highest level.
Acts as a role model to otheremployees and always present oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourageothers to do the same.
Meets the attendance guidelinesof the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Spends the majority of timeinterviewing, training, and selecting employees
Conducts Performance Reviews
Makes or recommends wageincreases
Makes or recommends promotions
Provides feedback for safetyand security
Handles employees' complaintsor grievances
Recommends disciplinary actionor disciplines employees
Plans work
Supervises and monitors work
Monitors legal compliance withfederal, state, and gaming laws

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
